Last Night's Lunar Rainbow on Yosemite Falls

Ansel Adams Gallery workshop instructor Keith Walklet and his class enjoyed the spectacular moonrise last night. Conditions were perfect for photographing the "moonbow" on Upper and Lower Yosemite Falls.
Keith's article on our website provides tips for photographing a lunar rainbow like the lovely image above made by workshop participant Kathie Smith. Enjoy!

Reception for Charles Cramer

Friday, May 15, from 3:30 to 5:30 pm, The Ansel Adams Gallery in Yosemite will host a reception for featured artist, Charles Cramer. Charles will be on hand to discuss his printing techniques and photographic vision. He has worked in the darkroom for many years, mastering the complex Dye Transfer process. He was also one of the first landscape photographers to work with the "digital darkroom," recognizing the computer as an unparalleled means to control color and realize his artistic interpretation of the scene. Don't miss the opportunity to meet this accomplished photographer!

Water, Water, Everywhere!

Steady rain over the last few days has dramatically raised the level of the Merced River. Water is filling the meadows and the waterfalls are roaring. The dogwoods are continuing their bloom with more trees showing new blossoms each day.
