New Photography Classes Offered through The Ansel Adams Gallery

The Ansel Adams Gallery is now offering 4-hour photography classes in Yosemite National Park. On your next visit to the park, we invite you to join one of our staff photographers to improve your camera skills while creating beautiful compositions of the Yosemite landscape.

Offered every Tuesday and Thursday from 1-5 PM, Using Your Digital Camera will allow participants to gain an understanding of their digital cameras, whether it be an advanced point and shoot or a D-SLR. You will learn the basics of operating the camera – how to focus, work with depth of field, proper exposure, reading your histogram, ISO & shutter speed selection and more while creating your own unique compositions of Yosemite.

Offered every Friday and Sunday from 1-5 PM, In the Footsteps of Ansel Adams is a program designed to take participants to several of the locations where photographer Ansel Adams composed some of his most famous Yosemite images. At each location, you will have the opportunity to see the same image through your lens and work more in-depth with the scene around you. You will receive insight into Ansel’s life and photography as well as basic lessons in photographic technique.

Classes cost $95.00 per participant. For further information or to register, please contact our gallery at (800) 568-7398.
